After I save, the folder is empty

After I save, the folder is empty
I used Photorec on my Mac to recover photos and videos of a currupted SD card. After it finishes it says I don't have enough space on my disk and ask to choose a different folder, although the free space I had before is now full. I have the recover folder but it is empty, I tried to save again on a external hard drive, and the folder only has 1 file, but the program says it saved 1243 files. I'm in the root user.

Check for recup_dir.1, recup_dir.2... directories.
