EWF library problem, Ubuntu 20.04

#1 Post by DigiD »

Good morning,

I am trying to install Photorec on an Ubuntu 20.04 linux machine.
because I primarily want to use E01 (Encase EWF) I followed the instruction at: https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Compilation to install on the EWF library.
It seems that the EWF modules work fine like ewfinfo.

However photorec keeps indicating that E01 files cannot be opened:
photorec test.E01
PhotoRec 7.1, Data Recovery Utility, July 2019

https://www.cgsecurity.org

Unable to open file or device test.E01: Success
The version information also states:
ewf lib: none

Code: Select all

Version: 7.1
Compiler: GCC 9.2
ext2fs lib: 1.45.5, ntfs lib: libntfs-3g, ewf lib: none, libjpeg: libjpeg-turbo-2.0.2, curses lib: ncurses 6.1, zlib: 1.2.11
OS: Linux, kernel 4.19.121-linuxkit (#1 SMP Tue Dec 1 17:50:32 UTC 2020) x86_64

Who can help me?

Thanks!
