NAS harddrive accidentally detached - need help recovering on PC

#1 Post by jonnymugwump »

Hi - sorry am a total newbie to this.

I have a Synology NAS and one of the discs became detached during a house move. The disc is healthy and I have attached to my PC (windows 10) but can't access it.
Testdisk photorec is able to recover the data but without filenames which are kind of vital.
I couldn't work out how to do recover with testdisc itself - can anybody help?
Again just to clarify, the disc is healthy, I'm not looking to recover deleted files - everything is still there - i just can't get at it

cheers

jonny
