"No space left for the file image"

#1 Post by ericiscool »

I'm getting the error "No space left for the file image" in TestDisk image creation. However, the destination drive has more than enough space for the image and is formatted NTFS. This occurs at 3-5% completion and has happened with several attempts. I'd really like to know why this is happening and how to fix it.

I've attached the log.

1. You don't have the necessary rights
2. You have a conflicting software runnning (antivirus?)
3. You selected the wrong drive or forget to change the proposed location

Using the Testdisk function to duplicate a drive is a bad idea with your broken drive.
Use ddrescue as described in the manual.
Given your problems you better duplicate to a drive instead of a file.
