Come to recover files from Android?

#1 Post by Teo7 »

I am trying to recover files from my smartphone, but without success because photorec does not see it between devices when connected with usb (debug enabled). So I tried to use an ftp server, mounting it with culrftpfs in a local folder, but it still doesn't see the folder. What can I try?

I don't know, I can only give some recipes I never used myself because I am not real familiar with modern smartphones.

Unfortunately you are hiding the fact if your data is stored on a removable card or on internal memory.

If it's internal memory you will either have to extract the internal memory (maybe by rooting it and executing some extraction software?) or have to put the phone into a mode where the internal memory behaves like USB storage that can be accessed sector-wise.

Any FTP solution fails because that provides access on the higher file level only. You need sector-level instead.
