Photorec can't find Google Cloud folder

#1 Post by ivanprado »

A 2tb HDD of mine recently got corrupted and I'm trying to use photorec to recover my files.
However, since I don't have another HDD as big as this one (or even 2TB of available space in my computer) I'm trying to mount a local drive (on a virtual Linux machine) to send those file to google cloud.
Now, my folder is communicating fine with google and a small test with photorec seemed to recover my files.

BUT

For some reason photorec can't see that specific folder (/gcs-storage)

This whole process is new to me and it is probably something simple

Thanks in advance for the help!

As far as I know Photorec works on local devices and using virtual machines can already create problems.
You would need to provide local storage for your recovery project.
