PhotoRec Freezing

#1 Post by andy16h »

I am on my second run with PhotoRec and it has frozen at the same spot both times. It has been frozen now for over 12 hours. How do I correct the problem? Is there something wrong with the drive that test disc could possibly fix.

Can you send me the last file recovered by PhotoRec and while PhotoRec is freezed
- check if CPU usage is at 100%
- check if you can access this disk or other without problem

I am having the same problem, the first time I recovered about 50,000 files before it stopped working. Now it is sitting at "111227224/976773167, 144695 files found"

I am hovering at about 55% CPU usage while it is stopped. The first time I stopped the program and restarted because I did not like how the computer was running. It restarted my recovey from the beginning. Will It start over again even if I do not restart?
