Backup Up and Saving Searches

Hi folks,

I'd just like to say, this is a great piece of software.

I know from using photorec, it saves the last recovery.

Is there a way of backing up a saved point, then if computer crashes it's possible to start from that saved space?

Alternatively, is it possible to start from a specific sector of a hard drive?

Actually, looking at the files, there is a session file, photorec.ses, that updates itself every five minutes.

I have a question for any dev that might wander by:

Will copy and pasting the folder while its actually running save the current position of the recovery, or does the recovery have to be finished?

I'm wondering if the stopping-process writes any specific data needed to start from the point previously stopped?

Hope that makes sense. :)

Latest PhotoRec 6.14-WIP save the current progress every 5 minutes in photorec.ses and also if you choose to stop PhotoRec. When you start PhotoRec, it searches for this file and if it's present, you will be asked if you want to resume the previous session.

This file can be copied and even manually modified with a text editor (ie notepad++ under Windows).
