Hello All,

I am attempting to retrieve some .log files using PhotoRec. Has any here performed such a task?
I looked at http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/File_For ... y_PhotoRec and noted the .log file extension were not listed.

Thanks!

A *.log file is just a plain text (*.txt )file with a .log extension. So a search for plain text should find log files. Photorec doesn't actually look at the file extensions, it looks for the signature.

I ended up using Prodiscover to create a .vmdk file of a DD, load the .vmdk in VMware Workstation (with some configuration changes) then copy the QNX file from the QNX partition to the C: on the DOS partition.
