Small photos

#1 Post by harveydog52 »

Hi there, my sd card in my camera went wrong while at a wedding and I lost the photos. Someone recommended I download PhotoRec which I did, ran it on my sd card through usb connection with it still in my camera as I cant get the sd card to come up via the slot on the laptop. It found all the photos and recovered them to a folder on the computer but they are so tiny, they are like thumbnails so I need to try to get the proper full size photos if poss so I can print some out. Is there a way of doing this? I am not really used to doing this kind of thing so would need instructions of what to do. Will be out this morning so will check back later on to see if anyone has any advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have some really sentimental photos on there that I would love to recover properly. :(

You can try the following settings:
Use latest PhotoRec 6.14-WIP, in Options, enable Keep Corrupted Files and enable brute-force mode. After selecting the partition, choose [Whole] instead of [Free].
Fullsize jpg should be named f*.jpg and thumbnails t*.jpg
