Entering Live Cd.. but..

#1 Post by Darobe »

Hi, I'm trying to recover lost data in a partition. The disk lock the machine when I connect to the motherboard. I only can run TestDisk or Photorec by a live cd and try recover the images and documents... The problem comes when I find data, i can't select a valid target, all the targets I see are from the CD... please.. I need help (like all...). Excuse me for my English and my ignorance.
Thanks.

What OS is using your LiveCD ?
- Dos, Windows To get the drive list (C:, D:, E:, etc.), use the arrow keys to select .., press the Enter key - repeat until you can select the drive of your choice. Validate with Yes when you get the expected destination. Note that DOS can't access NTFS filesystem.
- Linux: File system from external disk may be available in a /media, /mnt or /run/media sub-directory.
- MacOS X: Partitions from external disk are usually mounted in /Volumes.
