.apple extension?

#1 Post by therebel »

Hi, I did a photorec run to an SD card in order to recover wav files. It found a couple of .apple files that I can't open. They're 500mb and 1gb files. Which seem like the ones I'm looking for. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!

.apple files are Mac ressource files http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppleSingl ... le_formats
They have probably been created when you have connected this memory card to a Mac OS X computer.

Are the wav files deleted or is the memory card corrupted ?
In the first case, run TestDisk, Advanced, Undelete
In the second, run PhotoRec, Search, choose [Whole] instead of [Free]
