Thank you all for your hard work!!!
I think it is amazing what you have done. Just a little background to help clarify... I accidentally repartitioned my backup HD of 2TB. I used Photorec to get my family pics back and I think I have most of them. Thank you!
But I'm just curious as to why for every 1 picture I had now have about 80 or 90 each?? It took about 28 hours to complete the first pass and up until the final minute Photorec was still copying files. I really don't understand. I only had about 1500 pictures and now I have ten times that many [copies]. Could someone be kind enough to clue in Oldken?

Unless you have choose the source partition as destination to store the recovered files, the only idea I have is data defragmentation.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I went out and bought a new USS HD and used it to receive the output of the scan. So It must have been fragmentation as you say. I was just amazed at the huge amount of data recovered.
Thank You
