Canon Vixia File Recovery

Hello -
I recently tried to upload videos from my Canon Vixia to my computer. The videos were stored on the camera's built in hard drive. I could see the video thumbnails and watch the videos on my camcorder prior to trying to upload them to my computer. I began uploading the computers via a USB connection as I normally had in the past with no issue and noticed it was taking a LONG time. I didn't think anything of it. After an hour it prompted that that the process was complete, however there were no videos in the folder. When I looked at the camcorder everywhere where I once had a thumbnail, a yellow {?} was displayed. The calendar feature in the camcorder showed there were videos on the dates where there should be, but it would not display a file size or a thumbnail. When I contacted Canon they said the yellow {?} means the file was probably corrupted!!!

I am currently running Stellar Phoenix recover software. It as been running for over 24 hours and is only 19% complete. Thus far it is showing it has "found" 61 videos, which is about right. However, at this point I don't know what condition those videos are in.

If this software doesn't work I plan on trying PhotoRec. However, I am at the point where I would prefer to just send the Camcorder off to a professional to recover/repair the videos if possible.

Does anyone know of or can recommend a company here in the U.S that does this and that they recommend? I am not having much look in searching the internet. Most I can find is lots of different software programs I can download.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. THese are videos of my child and are PRICELESS to me.
