Recovery SLowing Down...Frozen?

#1 Post by blashmet »

I started a recovery operation on a 120GB mounted image on June 17th (6 days ago). Two days after, it had recovered 44803 files and reported it would take 1 week to finish.

Today (the 23rd), it says it will take 2 weeks to finish and it still reports 44803 files recovered.

The sector number appears to be random. It was on about 100,000, then 300,000, then back to 100,000.

Is this normal behavior? Should I continue to let it run?

Do you get any read errors?
In case, PhotoRec might hang.
