PhotoRec on a Live USB

#1 Post by billyla »

Hi all,

I used a Ubuntu Rescue Remix, which contains PhotoRec 6.13, to boot into my file server in which I accidentally deleted a photo folder.

PhotoRec could recognise the partition structure of my HDD(see below)

Below is the choice that photorec listed to me to store the files, but I cannot locate /home/ubuntu in either HDD or USB.

My question is about where would the recovered files be saved: HDD or USB drive? How to dig them out?

Many thanks
Billy
