Cannot recover .js

#1 Post by SlyzertVoltrond »

Hi,

I'm trying to recover .js/json file using PhotoRec 6.14 on my Debian machine, however I can't seem to find the option to select only aforementioned file type in "File Opt" menu. The supported file formats page clearly shows it support such file format.

Am I missing something?

Might be possible that it belongs to a file family?
In case disable only txt, xml, html, jpg, gif etc.. and file types where PhotoRec would find most.
Have another try.

Inspired by this topic: http://forum.cgsecurity.org/phpBB3/vcf- ... n-t82.html. I tried looking for json in the source code, lo and behold this file format also belongs to txt file familly. Although I haven't been able to successfully recover the file, it's good to know that I'm selecting the correct option. :)
