Block size?

#1 Post by NOVICE »

Hi all,

I am a complete novice with computers. Am in the process of desperately trying to recover my photos from my dying HDD.

I am running photoRec and it has done a scan but is now asking about the block size?

Where it says please select block size, which should I select from the folowing?

512
1024
2048
4096
8192
16384
32768
65536

I am only after jpeg photos from he HDD if this matters.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

If you are novice, why have you enable the expert mode ? ;-)
Use the default blocksize or 512 if you have done the mistake of reformating the partition.
