Changing source of receiving date

Hello
I have 500 GB Hitachi disk which I tried to scan. After 30 hours of work I decided to make copy 1:1 and scan it as a block device or ISO image (what should accelerate scan speed). Currently I am making copy by GNU ddrescue tool and the question is "can I pinpoint ISO as new source and continue scanning from "30 hours"?
