Where exactly did Photorec find my file

#1 Post by cojaydog »

Curious on where the file was located on the disk. I would like to check with a hex viewer to confirm were the file was located. Does the filename in anyway indicated what sector/cluster etc the file was located?

Yes, i think the number behind "f" is the sector number where the file begins. You also will find, in the first recup_dir a file called report.xml, with all files and the locations. I never checked if it's numbered with first sector egals zero or one.
