Info su Photorec

#1 Post by Creatt »

I would like to understand the operation of photorec.
And the first time I use it, I get to find all the directories, I show you an example:

Please select a destination to save the recovered files.
Do not choose to write the files to the same partition they were stored on.
Keys: Arrow keys to select another directory
C When the destination is correct
      Q to quit

 drwxr-xr-x 1000 1000 4096 30-Apr-2015 12:58 Documents

Now I select the C and I saved the file, but the bytes were zero.

I ask you for advice, I think there were not data, but I wonder if I run everything right.

I may have done something wrong I?

It can use the software, as the case is not subject to any bytes, even if there are?

Thanks, and sorry for my indiscretion.

Did you use TestDisk or PhotoRec?
It looks like that you used testdisk?
If you list your directories, did you enter a folder through mark it and using the right arrow key on your keybord to watch your files?
Please let me know did you use testdisk or photorec?
Info will follow.
