Missing support file format

#1 Post by FLCL »

I'm trying to recover files of just .html and .json format, however, when I try to select only those file types in the extension options - they aren't there; it goes hdf, hds, hr9, icc (no html) and the only "J" is jpg. Desperately need to recover these files..

Is there a way for me to scan for just .html and .json file formats? Appreciate the help

Before to use photorec, did you try to recover your partition/filesystem with testdisk ?

html is just text file. You may recover all (dozen of thousands) text files and then script to find html header or specific words in the files...
