.tex and .ods recovery

#1 Post by HadesVsPluto »

Hello!

I killed my XFS by installing Windows7. Win7 added the boot Partition on my XFS without asking me. :/

Now I run photorec. On it's Wiki is written, that also .TEX and .ODS files can be recovered. But when I run photorec I do not find it in the file extensions in the [File Opt]. So how do I recover these file types?

Is there any possibility to recover also the pathes or at least the file names?

Thank you very much!

.tex is xml, so it's txt with header probably (like html and so on).
.ods is an archive (like zip, docx and so on). It's with .zip extension.

You will probably have better results trying to repair your XFS. DId you try to scan with befor to recover with photorec ?
