Cannot create file in this directory

#1 Post by silveringking »

Hi, sorry if Im not writing on the most correct English, right now my keyboard configuration leaves me little to work.

I will try to make this clear, while using both photorec and qphotorec in a recent version of the live cd os Parted Magic in another words a Linux live cd, while I choose a dir to place my backup for a quick search it gives me the error in the title *cannot create file in this directory*, a similar error appears on qphotorec.
I didnt know if I should contact boards of the site where I bought the OS or this board, so Im going to on this board first.

Could someone help me out with this?

Thank you so much!

The LiveCD is read-only, you need to choose a destination that can be written to like /tmp.

Hi, is there then anyway to write data in my external disk? I'm afraid my computer's disk has not sufficient space.

Thank you so much for help!
