Hi,
I was trying to store movies from a hard disk of my sony harddiskrecorder with photorec.
After 6 hours I was able to backup all the files, but now I have more then 1000 short and long mpg files starting with the letter f and followed by a number. When I play a large file, I see that the file contains several parts of several movies.
It seems all the backup files are clustered. Is there a way I can get only the 10 or 15 movies of the harddisk and not 1000 of short mpeg files? Or is there a program which can understand these files and make one of them.
Now I have nothing good...and I was just so glad I could backup the files, because my computer was not able to see and read the hdd (probably because of a type formatting of the hdd (because it is from an harddisk recorder of the tv)
Multiple files starting with f and number

Re: Multiple files starting with f and number
Have you try PhotoRec 7.1-WIP or an older version ?
Re: Multiple files starting with f and number
I downloaded test-disk 7.0, in this version was PhotoRec 7.0 (April 2015)
Is this issue resolved in a newer version (beta)?
