Locate recup_dir sub-directories pt 2

#1 Post by geococcyx »

Earlier today I posted a topic beginning with:
"Recovered files are written in recup_dir.1, recup_dir.2... sub-directories. It's possible to access the files even if the recovery is not finished." I couldn't find those sub-directories.

Later, I did learn how to display the contents of the hidden "Volumes" folder on a Mac and discovered that the recup_dir subdirectories were written to the hard disk I was trying to recover files from rather than to my USB stick.

Sigh.

My mistake was pressing "C" when the USB stick volume was highlighted rather than pressing <Enter> and then pressing C when the root directory of the USB stick was highlighted.
