Hello,
I have searched the net and this forum first for an answer. I am using PhotoRec 7.0 on a Windows 8.1 pc and would like to be able to select only vcf format from the list, but it is missing. My list of files goes from format v2i, vault, vfb, vdi, etc.The website page titled File Formats Recovered By PhotoRec shows the vcf format listed under others. Fidentify has successfully identified the vcf, but it doesn't show in the list. I have restarted Photorec several times and pc just to see if it showed up. Any help would be great

Re: Vcf File Format Missing
To know in which file family a file is listed, go to the https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/File_Fo ... y_PhotoRec page has you have done.
Search the file extension and follow the link.
The vcf extension is handled by the txt file family.
It's usually a good idea to not modify the list of file family recovered by default.
