File recovered not pasted

#1 Post by acromion »

Good morning, I have just successfully recovered some movies MP4 files.

They have been stored in a folder created by PhotoRec

I can watch them end copying in my Mac Book but I can't copy and paste in an external drive, for example another external hard disk or even the the same from the which i recovered by.

Is it normal? May you help me?

Thank you for the attention and please excuse me for my English….

Have a good day everyone.

Change the owner of the files, example

Code: Select all

sudo chown -R username recup_dir.*
or

Code: Select all

sudo chown -R username /home/username/testdisk-7.1-WIP/recup_dir.*
When asked for the password, use the password from your user session to validate the sudo command

Thank you for your reply.

I will try with your suggestions too meanwhile I was able t transfer the files from The Mac Book to the smartphone through Bluetooth connection.

From there I have regularly pasted to the SD card.

thank you again for your program.

It saved me! Really very useful. :D :D

Have a nice sunday.
