Hi,

I downloaded the PhotoRec 7.1 beta the other day and have been running it against a 500GB Seagate SSHD. It seemed to be working fine to start with, but now appears to have hung:

Code: Select all

Pass 2 - Reading sector 485009856/976562176, 73790 files found
Elapsed time 33h57m54s - Estimated time to completion 34h25m23

It doesn't seem to have recovered anything for hours. Is it still actually working? In Task Manager the process is consuming 25% CPU (ie 1 core of a 4-core processor) - total CPU Time is nearly 20 hours.

OK, well I left it running but it doesn't seem to have made much progress:

The differences seem to be that it has gone from "Pass 2" to "Pass 3" and has gone into reverse - from sector 485,009,856 back to sector 485,009,608. No further files appear to have been recovered...

Anybody know what's going on?
