3rd App and Attempt to Recover Files

#1 Post by dawnessa »

I deleted images from a Compact Flash card and shot an additional 640+ images. I have used two other recovery apps: RecoverX and CardRescue. Bother recovered many files, but not the images I shot yesterday morning.

Questions:
Is it conceivable that PhotoRec could recover images that the other apps could not?
If so, can you direct me to step by step instructions to recover from a Compact Flash card connected through a card reader on a Mac running OS 10.9.5?

I can't seem to figure out how to access the card through the terminal window application... but I have no experience working in this environment.

Thank you for any advice or assistance.

To learn to use PhotoRec you can read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
Unfortunately you have probably overwritten your deleted pictures with the new ones, it's why the other tools you tried didn't work.
