Hi,

Thank you for this life-changing program! Could you please list the pros and cons of using a blocksize of 512 bytes instead of the default value?

Kind regards,
Thomas

When a filesystem has been reformated, its blocksize or the offset of the first block may have been modified. In this case, PhotoRec will recover very few files, usually file fragment.
Using a blocksize of 512 bytes is a good way to avoid this problem and recover a maximum of files.
It's not as good as the original parameters (parameters of the filesystem before the last format operation) as smaller blocksize increase the number of false positive and use more CPU power.
