PhotoRec stops

#1 Post by crushboy92 »

Today, I downloaded PhotoRec in order to search some images I lost (gif, png, jpg). When the program is about 37000000/418000000 files found, it suddenly stops searching files. It doesn't matter what I try, it always stops at that exact amount of files and even the time counter stops. But, the strange is that the program, if I search it on the Task Manager, it does says that the program is responding (it isn't freezed).

What do I have to do? Let the program running endlessly or is there any easier way to fix this problem?

Do you have this problem with latest 7.1-WIP ?
Is PhotoRec using 100% of the CPU at this moment ? Do you see if the PhotoRec is actually appending data to a new file ? (Sort the recovered files in latest directory by date/time).
