Hello,
I had been running recovery successfully on a 2TB external hdd for weeks until a power outage stopped the process. Upon resstarting the scan**, Photorec has only found thousands of txt files and few other desirable/usable files.
**Had to start out with a new photorec.ses file (changed the start sector) so that may be part of the problem.
How can I troubleshoot/resume from previous point in scan successfully?

Re: Only recovering txt files after resume
The new sector you have chosen may not be aligned anymore with the blocksize...
Unless you can undo your modification to the photorec.ses file, you should restart from the beginning.
