Re: Formatted hard drive problem during windows installation
How do you know if you have overwritten data or not ?
How many partitions had your harddisk before the diskclean ?
If you disk had a single partition or if you created a partition bigger than the old partition that was holding your data, run PhotoRec, enable the expert mode in Options, start a recovery on the whole disk, use a blocksize of 512 bytes, use the default options otherwise.
If it's not the case, use testdisk to recover your old partition as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf

As I have done that, Is there a Possibility to retrieve my formatted data?

Re: Formatted hard drive problem during windows installation
I hope that not too much data have been lost due to formatting the various partitions.
Try TestDisk, Analyse, Quick earch, Deep Search, for each partition found, use 'p' to list its files.
If it's a partition you want to recover, use the arrow keys to switch it to P(rimary) or L(ogical).
On next screen, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
