Sketch files or ZIP files

#1 Post by atommat »

im tryign to recover a bunch of .SKETCH files. these are effectively ZIPPED folders containing resources and various other data. i know this because by changing the extension and extracting it with unzip, i have access to to the compressed contents.

i did try and set up a custom file type but it recognises it as a ZIP and there seems no way to tell it otherwise.

so the question is this:

will it recover the files as ZIPS and retain the extension or convert them to ZIPS ... or even at all, seeing as the extension is different? i dunno! : (

any thoughts or comments welcome

a sample SKETCH file attached. ironically, the post page wont allow me to upload a sketch file unless it is zipped so be aware the attached zip is infact a sketch file with the SKETCH extension changed to ZIP...so change the ZIP back to SKETCH and youre good to go!

thanks in advance
