Mac partition formatted after macOS Sierra upgrade

#1 Post by phuketmymac »

Hello,

I am trying to salvage a HD which was completely formatted during a macOS upgrade.
I have booted off a USB drive using photorec.

So far it is finding a lot of plist files, some tifs and some JPG.
Good news is the JPGs look fine. However the Tiffs (CR2) are messed up (part of the image is fine and the rest is just horizontal colored lines)

Is there anything I can do to improve that?
