Trouble recovering files - no partition and no endmark 0xAA55

#1 Post by thenewmr »

Hello.

PhotoRec has helped me recovery a very important photo before so thank you very much for that. It's a truly amazing piece of software.

This time, we have a bigger problem.

I searched and found this forum post viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4859&p=15385&hilit= ... a55#p15385 but with no solution.

My wife's phone fell from our car. The phone suffered great impact.

We're trying to recover the photos from the SD card. A SanDisk Extreme 128 GB micro SD card.

Using TestDisk and PhotoRec, it seems to be detecting the presence of the micro SD card but I'm not sure if it's just detecting the presence of the micro SD card adaptor?

It can't seem to find a partition which makes me worry. Is there any hope? Please say yes.

The SD card is detected as 32 MB only. Software solution won't help.
You should contact a data recovery company.

That's sad. But thanks for your input. Appreciate it.
