I was using testdisk and left 2 previous replys. im not sure why I did not notice it first time.
i have drive were the partition is gone. i run test disk and pick partition none. then list pressed a key to deselect deleted then a key to select all pressed c to copy and finally noticed the second drive showed up.
I had patched windows 10 with several updates and that may be what fixed it.
I have it copying the internal sata to the external usb now it seems to be working ok
Thanks i hope this completes ok this is the second time I have tried this. I tried the linus version first but for some reason it was not seeing the files the same way.
