How is the name (number) of recupdir folders organized?

#1 Post by tracho »

I run QPhotoRec to recovery my jpg-files in a 750GB HD.
I would like recover mainly files with big sizes (> 300 KB). Now after 24h appr. 30% of the sectors are scanned, the recent recupdir Folder number is 450.
I observe that since recupdir Folder number 425 all the files are smaller than 10 KB.
Therefore my Question in the Topic: Is it correct, that the larger the recupdir Folder number, the smaller the size of the files?

If it is so, so I can stop the recovery process and do not need to wait for 2 or more days :) .

Thanks
Tracho

QPhotoRec creates a new directory each 500 files found. It's not related to file size.
