.mov recovery recovering .cr3 files

#1 Post by gatewaytosg »

hello-

I'm trying to find some lost .mov files from a SD card and in file options I unchecked everything except for MOV and MOV/MDAT and MPG files. Photorec runs and thinks it is recovering mov files but is instead pulling newer canon raw files CR3. per the other thread, cr3 is part of the mov file family, but can these be seperated in the next version of photorec? you can see this in the screenshots. can I please get some help with this?

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8364&p=27248&hilit=cr3#p27248

thanks!

No. Families exist because you can't distinguish their members by fingerprinting.
