When I use Photorec to save 500GB from one disk to another, photorec "eats" up space on my system disk.
I have 2 hard drives and will transfer the saved to another.
Why?

You may have choose your system disk as destination.
To avoid this problem, an easy workaround is to copy testdisk directory from your system disk, paste it on your destination disk and run photorec from this disk.
