Overwritten NTFS partition

I am working on a 2Tb disk drive that was having Ubuntu installed and the data partition with about 250 Gb of data on a 1.5Tb partion, was overwritten by Ext4 400Gb partition, leaving the rest of the old NTFS partition as clicker
I have used photorec to get most of the NTFS files back however I am wondering what is the best way to recover any data in the unallocated area? Any thoughts or ideas?

You should select the drive instead of the newly created partition inside the drive when runnning Photorec.
There is a way to limit the Photorec activitiy, it's either a program setting or you have to modify the parameter file to limit the search range to approximately the first 1,5TB of 2TB.
