If you already found your files there is no need to recover them.
"chk" is not a recoverable file type. It is a label for file fragments that can contain anything.

Hi recuperation,

These are not great news then. Do you think it's possible to recover these files from before they were .chk type rules? Because I believe these are the one's I'm looking for.
