Testdisk find no partition table - Flash Drive -

#1 Post by hird »

Hi
I used TestDisk 6.14 (July 2013)
My flash drive turned to RAW and I'm not able to format it. I don't need any data from the flash drive - I just want to make it working again.

Using Testdisk for Analysing it with Intel partition table type, but it showed that:
Partition sector doesn't have the endmark 0xAA55
Than quick search, deeper search: - Doesn't find any partition

Than I followed your advice you gave in a simmmilar case in another post:
"Try partition table type None!
Then use the menu Advanced instead of Analyse.
If your partition appears as Unknown, use Type to set your previous file system (I believe it was FAT 32, so I proceeded)
Use the menu Boot and Rebuild BS to have a try to rebuild your boot sector."

After checking "Rebuild BS", it came up with the same error message than befor running the Rebuild BS command:

Boot sector
Bad

Backup boot sector
Bad

Sectors are identical.

A valid FAT Boot sector must be present in order to access
any data; even if the partition is not bootable.

I don't need any data from the flash drive - I just want to make it working again.
Any idea, how cam I get back my flash drrive?

Thanks

If you can't format the flash disk, there is a hardware problem. No software will help in this case.
Get a new disk...
