1TB Samsung suddenly messed up

#1 Post by senlim »

Hi,
My 1 TB samsung HDD which is probably 2yr old suddenly stopped working. Win 7 OS.
It's partitioned into two: 60GB for boot and rest for storage.
The testdisk log file timestamp doesn't seem to be up to date and I can't attach a ".log" file.
I did deeper scan which took all night.
Therefore I have uploaded some pictures to dropbox.
I think I'm at the point where I think I can change the partition type, so now I require help (because otherwise if I "Enter: to continue" without doing anything I may have to redo the deeper scan).

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Use 'p' to list the content of each partition. Once you know which partitions to recover, use the arrow keys to switch the partition to P(rimary), L(ogical) or *(bootable). On next screen, choose Write and confirm.
