Folder deleted from desktop

#1 Post by 182867 »

Hey guys. After resetting my Linux, i had the main ( /home ) folders on my desk, means pics, docs, vids. I deleted some of them not knowing that that were the "real" folders. Now i ran photorec, but i could not discover the original folder "pictures". What am i go to do now ?

PhotoRec doesn't recover directories, folders and files by its original names.
If it'd be ok for you, you can use the menu file opt and pressing s to deselct all file types and only check those file types where you'd like to recover.
If you'd like to recover files and folders by their names, you can test a trial of commercial software.
Please don't write something to your disk anymore.
You could overwrite your underlying data and make a recovery impossible.
