I dropped down my netbook

#1 Post by alphabeta »

Hello,
I found your forum with search to Google for 'I dropped down my netbook'.
It showed the thread Help with damaged disk (My best friend dropped her netbook...) of 2012.
I'm not sure you could help, I dropped down my netbook (from a little disctance of the floor as a matter of fact), it seems alright in all respects, but I worry.
Is there any way to check it through software?
(It connects to the net alright and everything functions).
Thanks

You can check your disk using crystaldiskinfo:
http://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html
Please download the portable version, because the windows installer (exe) contains adware Open Candy.
In any case, a backup is recommended.
Normal maintainance like chkdsk /r would be recommeded too.
If everything is ok, there would be no further action required and you can use it.
