Hello, I'm having a problem with an external HDD WD Element 2GB. It suddenly became raw and I can't read it.
I have passed Smart check and it seems to be ok
Then I ran testdisk, I am able to see the list of files
I wrote the new partition structure
It required me to restart, but after doing that the hdd is still raw
Boot sector is ok and identical
I don't know what could be my problem or If I'm missing something. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Run "cmd" (right click run as administrator") and type "chkdsk /f d:" (replace d: by the correct drive letter).
Does it fix the problem ?
