Power failure while recovery - HDD unrecognized

#1 Post by kokgab »

Hello,
I have a huge problem. I accidentally dropped my Hitachi 1TB external HD while it was scanned by Windows 7 after plugging in, so the partition table became corrupted (drive letter was assigned, but no files were seen under Windows (said it is RAW). Thanks God, I found TestDisk, which could see my files and started to copy them to my computer using TestDisk for Windows. As there were many files, it was slow procedure, and I left it to do it overnight.
However, next morning I found there was a power failure, which interrupted the copy process. And although my computer was fine, since then neither computer BIOS can see my HDD, nor TestDisk. I took it from the external case too, tried to plug to another computer, but had the same problem: the computer does not see it.
Can someone help me, what to do?
Many thanks in advance!

Honestly after so much problems, you should contact a data recovery company.
