Custom Signature Zbrush Files - Help Please

#1 Post by bumper »

Hey All,

I am an unfrozen caveman digital artist that knows just enough to be dangerous. In building a machine over the weekend I deleted my old C: drive. I have used PhotoRec to AMAZINGLY recover my Photoshop and .jpg files but what I can't figure out how to do is create signature files for my lost Zbrush files.

Would anyone point me in the right direction as to make a signature file for the .ZPR format. Maybe it's because I'm sleep deprived (and likely due to of my lack of technical prowess) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to generate the signature.

Thank you!!

That is, unless you would prefer I email it to you, rather than provide google drive link...

I have uploaded a new 7.1-WIP version. Can you try it ?
Note that recovered .zpr files may be larger than original. Avoid to disable other filetypes to reduce the problem.

I will try to give it a go tonight, after work. Otherwise this weekend at the latest.

Success! I have recovered 539 files with 2 hours to go.

There were a few files that threw error messages and crashed Zbrush, but they appear to be in the minority. Perhaps they are files that were of file format versions that I didn't provide you. I can investigate further for other file versions, if that is indeed the issue.

I can't believe this worked as well as it did. Thank you very much!
